So aPEELing

TGIF, everyone! I wanted to share a couple of cards I created a while ago using the PCS Orange You Awesome stamp set. This set is so fun because you can mix and match the faces with the fruit.

Here are all of the details:

The sentiment, banana, and face all came from the Orange You Awesome set.  I stamped the sentiment on a shape I had left over from another project.  The banana is pretty large (this card is 5x5"), and I stamped it on yellow patterned paper.  I stamped the face on the banana, then I stamped a second one on white paper, trimmed around the eyes and teeth, and adhered it over the yellow.  That seemed like the best way to make them white. :) I added some ribbons and some doodles, and this fun little card was all done!

This little card measures 4x4".  I decided to use the sad face on my strawberry so I could use the I'm Berry Sorry sentiment.  The strawberry, face and sentiment all came from the Orange You Awesome set.  I stamped the strawberry on red patterned paper and on green paper, trimmed around the strawberry and stem, then added the face.  She's layered on a scalloped circle punch and popped up with foam tape.  Then, I just added a little ink, and this sweet little card was finished!

In case you haven't heard: this set is left over from my days designing for PBD, so it's not made from the same peachy photopolymer as my newer stamps. Since I'm just a little OCD, I need all of my stamp sets to match. ;) So, I'm selling this set (along with 3 other sets) for a discounted price while supplies last. Once I run out of these clear photopolymer sets (which stamp beautifully, by the way), I'll get them re-made in the peachy stuff. Then, they will be available for full price. So, why not pick up this fun set now for less?

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to keep checking back for more PCS inspiration. :)

Hoppy Easter??? What????

Okay, okay....I know it's not even CLOSE to Easter, but I wanted to show you a little project I created a while ago using the 3x4" Hoppy Easter stamp set that is in the store now.

I colored this sweet little bunny using my Copic markers. Both the bunny and the sentiment is from the Hoppy Easter set.

This little set is left over from my days designing for PBD, so it's not made from the same peachy photopolymer as my newer stamps. So, if you like this little set and think you'll use it next Easter, why not get it now for less?

Oh, and don't forget that there is a Design Team Call going on now for PCS. If you like to stamp and color, why not send in an application? You can find out all of the details for the DT Call HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I'll be back soon with more projects using Pretty Cute Stamps.

Pretty Cute Stamps Design Team Call!!!

Hey, everyone!  I'm excited to let you know that I'm having a Design Team Call for Pretty Cute Stamps. Design team members will help me showcase products from Pretty Cute Stamps.

Here are the details about my DT Call:

For the Pretty Cute Stamps Design Team, I'm looking for crafters who:

1.  Are willing and able to use clear photopolymer stamps on projects. Stamp sets include images, so DT members must be able to color those images.
2.  Have a blog where they post regularly.  Showcasing projects in well-lit, well taken photos is important.
3.  Are active on Facebook.  Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube are pluses, too!
4.  Are able to post a project that uses Pretty Cute Stamps products at least every other week on the PCS blog and their own.
5.  Are willing to participate in at least one Blog Hop per month for Pretty Cute Stamps.
6.  Are not members of Design Teams for competing stamp companies (sentiments or images).
7.  Are able to serve for at least 6 months, from August 2014 - January 2015.

Design Team members will receive free stamps and discounts from http://www.prettycutestamps.com

Here's what you need to do if you're interested in being a part of the PCS Design Team:

1. Choose 3 of your favorite projects.  They can be projects you've created in the past or new ones you make just for this DT Call. Be sure you include projects that show off a range of your talents, including your use of stamps, including the coloring techniques you use. Image and sentiment stamping are a must.

2.  E-mail the following information to dtcall@prettycutestamps.com:
  • Your name
  • Short bio (tell me a little about yourself...family, work, hobbies, what you love...anything you'd like me to know)
  • Links to your blog, Facebook page and/or profile, Twitter page, Pinterest, YouTube channel, etc.
  • List other Design Teams you belong to (past and present).
  • List any craft-related forums, communities, or Facebook groups you are a member of (where you might be posting your PCS projects).
  • Attach photos of your 3 projects (mentioned above).  Include links to the blog posts of the projects, if applicable.
  • Attach a photo of yourself that I can post on my blog if you are chosen for the team.
Applications are due by Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 11:59 pm CST.  New Design Team members will be notified by e-mail and then announced on the PCS blog on Wednesday, July 25, 2014.

Whew...I think that's it!  I hope some of you want to be a part of my exciting new adventure.  I can't wait to see your projects!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

June Release Stamp REVEAL!!! Woo HOO!!!

YAY!!!! It's finally time for me to show you all of the new stamps that are now available for purchase in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. But first, I have one more project to show you. Leah from the Leah Schaeffer Blog created two fabulous cards using one of this month's new stamp sets.

I especially love the embossed background Leah created using the surf board images. So creative!

Okay...now, without further ado...here they are. You can click on the link below the photos to see these sets in the store.

These sets are brand new designs. These are all made from high quality, peach-tinted photopolymer right here in the USA:

These five sets are also available as a bundle for a discounted price. There are a limited number of bundles available this month, so be sure to order early if you're interested:

You also may know that I designed some stamp sets for Pink by Design a year, or so, ago. I have a few of those sets left over from a different manufacturer (so they aren't made from the peach-tinted photopolymer...they are made from a high-quality clear photopolymer). These still stamp perfectly, but, because I'm a little OCD and would like all of my sets to match (LOL), I'm offering my inventory of the following stamp sets for 20% regular prices (while supplies last). Then, once I get them remade in peachy photopolymer, they will be regular price. Here they are:

Well, there they are! I'm super excited about them, and I hope you like them. :) Have a great hump day, everyone!

Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ Feelin' Squatchy

Happy Sunday, everyone, and Happy Father's Day! We have another sneak peek of the first release for Pretty Cute Stamps. Nicole Elliott from Teachdanz created a fun mini-pocket scrapbooking layout using one of the new SQUATCHY stamp sets that will be available for purchase starting June 18th. Here's her layout:

Nicole created a fun background for her first card insert using one of the images from the set. Then, she used that cute Bigfoot image and a silly sentiment from the set for the bottom card insert....just perfect to document the Sasquatch Brew Fest!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks, and check out the Pretty Cute Stamps store to see all of the new sets on Wednesday. :)

Sneak Peek Day 3 ~ Life is Swell

Happy Saturday, everyone! I'm back today to share a little card I created using one of the new Pretty Cute Stamps sets that will be available for purchase starting June 18th. Here it is:

I created this card using a couple of images and a sentiment from the new Surf's Up stamp set. I used a combination of paper piecing by stamping on patterned paper and coloring with colored pencils to create the stamped images. A shape from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sunburst Shapes Cutting Files set created a perfect background for the card. Then, I added a few enamel dots, and my little card was all done.

We'll be back tomorrow with more Pretty Cute Stamps sneak peeks. Have a great day, everyone, and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ Crabby Oranges ;)

Oooooo! It's Friday the 13th! Stay away from ladders, mirrors, and black cats, today, okay? Jeanne Siegel from Jeanne's Paper Crafts is back with me to share a couple of other sneak peeks with you. Here they are:

(inside of crab card)

These images and sentiments may look a little familiar to you. You might remember that I designed several stamp sets for Pink By Design a year, or so, ago. Well, there were a few stamp sets left over from those designs, so I will be offering these for sale starting on June 18th. Since these were manufactured by a different company, I'll be offering my inventory of these stamps at a discounted price, while supplies last. Then, I'll eventually get them remade in the peach-tinted photopolymer (which is what all of my other stamps will be made from). These sets still stamp beautifully, but, since I'm a little OCD, I want all of my sets to match. LOL! So, you'll be able to snatch these up for less until I run out. :)

Jeanne created these super cute cards by using two of these stamp sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll have another sneak peek for you tomorrow...I hope to see you then. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks of June's release.

Happy Hump Day, everyone! Welcome to the brand new Pretty Cute Stamps blog! YAY!!!  My name is Lisa Norris, and I am a military wife and mother and former teacher who is chasing a dream of being a graphic designer. Well, I am so excited to announce that I am now starting my very own little line of stamps. Eeeeeek! I am so excited!!! These peach-tinted photopolymer stamps will feature my artwork along with fun coordinating sentiments. Woo HOO!
