PCS September 2014 Release Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday, everyone, and welcome to the Pretty Cute Stamps September 2014 Release Blog Hop. YAY! My amazing Design Team and I have some super fun projects to show you today that we created using the very newest PCS stamps.

But first, I want to show you all of the new stamps you can purchase now in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. Oh, and, most importantly...all of the stamps (even the bundle) are ON SALE until 11:59 EST on Tuesday, September 30. Woo HOO! Anyway...here they are. You can click on each of the photos to see these in the PCS Store:

Fight Like a Girl  4x6" Stamp Set
***I will donate $2.00 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for each Fight Like a Girl set sold.***

The SVG Outlines for the images on each of these new sets are also now available in the store. So, if you're not one who likes fussy-cutting around images and has access to an electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files, these could be a great resource for you. I also added outlines for some of the June and July stamp sets. I'll be working on getting SVG Outlines in the store for the rest of the previously released sets as soon as I can.  The stamp images are not included with these files...you need the stamp sets for those. Oh, and these SVG Outlines are also ON SALE until Tuesday night, too!

Alright, now...here's my project using the new Candy Corn Kisses set. This set is perfect for creating sweet Halloween treats, so that's just what I created...I little box of candy corn along with a matching mini card.

I got this box from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fancy Pillow Box 1 Cutting Files set. I embossed it using my Lifestyle Crafts Spider Web embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I added some pretty orange and white twine to the box for a little more texture and color. I stamped my cute little candy corn guy from the Candy Corn Kisses stamp set on the SVG outline and colored him using my Copic markers. Then, I just stuck him on the box using foam tape.

For the matching card, I created a fun and colorful background using all of the different sized candy corn images that come with this set. I colored them all using my Copic markers. I just love how the background turned out! The banner is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sentiment Spots 3 Cutting Files set. I added a cute sentiment from the Candy Corn Kisses set along with some more candy corn images (this time with a couple of cutie patootie faces). And...that's it! Now I have a fun little treat to send to one of my daughter's friends or teachers.

Okay, now how about a PRIZE????

One lucky hopper will win a $15 Gift Certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps Store!  Here's what you need to do for a chance to win this Gift Certificate:

September Sneak Peek - Fight Like A Girl

Karla here today, and I am soooo excited for the Pretty Cute Stamps September release!! These sets are fabulous :). Today I have an awesome sneak peek for you from the set Fight Like A Girl.

My friend gave me this wonderful Breast Cancer Survivor paper a while ago, and I knew I had to combine it with this stamp set. I stamped on watercolour paper and used Distress Markers to watercolour my images in. I layered on some cute pink pompom trim, some matching pink paper and part of a doily.

I used a Spellbinders Die to cut the tab and then stamped and heat embossed the Breast Cancer ribbbon symbol.

I love the gloves stamp & had to use it inside my card along with the beautiful sentiment.

For my second card I used the bra stamp and again watercoloured with Distress Markers and added some Jellyroll gel pens.

Inside:

Raven had a sneak peek post yesterday and you will be able to see more over the next  few days so be sure to follow along! On September 24, 2014, you will be able to see all the stamp sets and pick them up at the Pretty Cute Stamps store!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I like BIG BOOKS & SVG Outline Tips

Hey, everyone! I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday, so far. I have a quick little card to share with you today, along with some tips for using the SVG Outlines for your stamped images. Here's my card:

I got these fun books and the sentiment from the Pretty Cute Stamps Adorkable stamp set. To make this a super quick project, I stamped the book images on the Adorkable SVG Outlines. These files work with any electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files. When you import these SVG files into your cutting file software, they should hopefully import at the correct size for stamping. But, just in case, I've included the approximate sizes on the preview image for the outlines. So, you can double check once you open the files. Mine imported into my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition at exactly the correct size. When I decided to cut some of the outlines out, I just went ahead and cut out a whole bunch of different shapes. That way, I'd have them when I need them, and I don't have to fire up my Cameo when I feel like coloring some stamped images.

Here's a couple of tips for stamping on the outline cutouts:
  • Be sure to cut out a few duplicates of the same shape. That way, if you mess up with your coloring (like I always seem to do) or just don't stamp the image in just the right place, you have a backup).
  • Keep your cutouts stuck to the mat of your cutting machine. That way, they won't move around while you are stamping.
  • Be sure that you are positioned directly above the cutout when you are stamping. That will help make sure that you are stamping in just the right place. Then, just look though your clear acrylic stamping block, line up the stamp with the cutout (leaving a consistent border around the image), and stamp.

I decided to just go ahead and stamp all of my images on the cutouts. That way, I'll have the images ready for me when I'm ready to color them. I'll just pop them off of the mat and store them in an acid free container or envelope.

For my card above, I stacked a couple of the stamped images of the books. I just trimmed the top border off of the bottom set of books so it would look like a really tall stack of BIG BOOKS. Then, I colored the images with my Copic markers.

I hope these tips help you use the SVG cutouts. Each set is just 99 cents, and they make stamping images that you intend to cut out SO easy. I've been working on getting some SVG outlines for previous releases done, so I hope to have them in the store soon.

Okay, now for some exciting news! The September Stamp Release is almost here! YAY! Here's the info for you (click on the image to enlarge it).  So, be sure to come back on Friday for the start of our Sneak Peeks! YAY!  I can't wait for you to see the new stamp sets!

TGIF, everyone! I have a fun little card that a customer and friend of mine shared in the Pretty Cute Projects Facebook Group.

Kathy Gillon from Kathy and Kids used a sentiment from the Wish Big Stamp Set on this sweet little shaped card. Kathy shows that so many of the sentiments on Pretty Cute Stamps work really well with die cuts, too. You can find all of the details for Kathy's project on her blog post HERE.

Happy Wednesday....Color My World

Hello all my Crafty Friends....Happy Wednesday!  It's Kendra and I'm back after a wonderful 4 day weekend - great to have a little time off and get several card projects completed.   Here is a super cute card I designed using Pretty Cute Stamps.  I used two different sets on this design - Color My World and The Write Stuff.  I love these crayons and you can choose what faces (if any) you want to add!! :)

The globe was an afterthought....I was looking for a little something else to add and then it dawned on me "The Globe", I decided to stamp it and leave it uncolored....I love what it adds to the card! :)

Here is a little close up where you can see all the sparkle (I used my clear Wink of Stella pen) and all the dimension and layers.

My Pretty Cute Stamps Design Team Happy Mail for September's Release has already arrived and OMG, they are fabulous!!  I can't wait to start showing you sneaky peeks of those!!!  You are going to love the new designs, they are fabulous! :)

I'll be back soon with more crafty goodness!!  Come see me over on my Blog Inkin' It Up with Kendra! Have a wonderful day!

And the bling strips just catch your eye...
as well as well as the smiling pen and globe!

YAY! It's Your Birthday!

TGIF, everyone! I hope your Friday is FABULOUS! I have a sweet little masculine birthday tag to share with you today.

This sweet little birthday boy and the sentiments are all from the Pretty Cute Stamps Wish Big stamp set. I colored his hair and skin with my Copic markers and paperpieced the other parts (I think I may have been crazy to do that...but I LOVE the way it turned out). I think the colors turned out to be great for a little boy's gift. The tag shape is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Tags 1 Cutting Files, and the pretty London Blue ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

Wish Big stamp set

Oh, and don't forget to share your projects with us at PCS. You can show us photos in 3 ways:

SplitCoastStampers (use keyword PrettyCuteStamps)

I search these places for project photos that I can feature on this blog every other Friday, or so. So, share away! You're project may be featured next! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! We'll be back next week with more Pretty Cute Stamps inspiration.

Back To School Fun!

Hi everyone! Karla here today bringing you some more back to school goodness! Yesterday was my 7 year old's first day of Grade 2! I don't think I was quite ready for all the back to school hustle and bustle!

She loves it when I send little notes in her lunch bag, and I usually draw something on a napkin and write her a little message. This year I thought I would send a cute mini lunch box note every once in a while as well, and these stamps with their funny and sweet sentiments were just the thing to decorate them with!

I stamped the images on some vanilla cardstock cut at 2 1/2" square. I rounded the corners and coloured them in with Prismacolor Markers and Jellyroll Glaze and Soufflé pens. I added a little sparkle with the Jellyroll clear glitter pen.

These were so fun to create for my daughter - I know she will appreciate them and they'll brighten her day!

I can't get enough of these amazing sentiments!! Here are the backs of the notes:

For my cards today I used:
Chick With Brains
Just Chill

Check out the Pretty Cute Stamp store  http://www.prettycutestamps.com/ to browse through all the sweet sets available!

Have a wonderful week!
