May 2015 Stamp Release Blog Hop

Oh, my goodness!!!! I am so excited to show you this month's stamps! Welcome to the Pretty Cute Stamps May 2015 Release Blog Hop. YAY! My amazing Design Team and I have some super cute projects to show you today that we created using the very newest PCS stamps.

But first, I want to show you all of the new stamps you can purchase now in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. Oh, and, most importantly...all of the new items (even the bundle) are ON SALE until 11:59 EST on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Woo HOO! Anyway...here they are. You can find all of these new items in the PCS store HERE.

The SVG Outlines for the images on each of these new sets are also now available in the store. So, if you're not one who likes fussy-cutting around images and has access to an electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files, these could be a great resource for you. The stamp images are not included with these files...you need the stamp sets for those. Oh, and these SVG Outlines are also ON SALE until Thursday night, too!

Okay, here's my project using the Superheroes Stamp Set. Earlier in the week, I showed you a little treat box I created for my daughter's teacher (who has had a superhero theme in her classroom all year). Well, I needed a card to go along with that treat box so I could write her a proper thank you. :)

I colored this sweet flying girl with my Copic markers. The City Skyline is a cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons that I printed and cut with my Silhouette Cameo. I stamped the SUPER sentiment on a speech bubble from the Let's Talk Stamp Set. I popped up the little super girl and the speech bubble with some foam tape, and my card was all done!

Okay, now how about a PRIZE????

Sneak Peek Day 3

TGIF, everyone! Well...here we are. It is our final day of sneak peeks for the new May stamps. I just love the projects for today, which feature two more stamp sets that will be available to purchase tomorrow, so I'll just get right to them:

First, Karla Yungwirth from Creative Love Affair created this sweet little card, envelope, and goody bag using the new Tea-rrifc stamp set. I just love all of the details she added to this letter. Adorable! You can find out all of the details about Karla's project on her blog.

Dawn Mercedes, from Sunnyside Up, created this bright and cheerful pocket letter using the new Pen Pals set. Dawn added some amazing detail to her project, too. I could just spend all day looking at it. Check out Dawn's blog to find out more information.

I also have a cute little freebie from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons today. This free Teapot Cutting File (which also includes clip art) would go perfectly with the Tea-rrific stamp set. You can download this file for FREE today only, then it will be available for purchase from PPPR.

That's all of our sneak peeks! I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see all of the new stamp sets and enjoy our hop. We'll have some more adorable projects to show you. I'm so excited!!!!

Sneak Peek Day 2

Woo HOO! It's time for another day of sneak peeks! Today's stamps are near and dear to my heart. I started my first little company (Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons) with some superhero cutting files, so I'm so excited to be able to create a couple of stamp sets that will go along perfectly with them (and have some pretty cute images of their own). These two stamp sets will be available for purchase on Saturday (and on SALE)!!!

First, I want to show you this little treat box that I decorated with the new Super Sentiments stamp set. I created this for my youngest daughter's teacher and filled it with her favorite candy. The fifth grade class at her school has a "superhero" theme, so this little treat was perfect for her.

I also used a super cute little cutting file / clip art file for this project (which is free for you guys today only)....you can find it below. The box is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fancy Pillow Box 1 Cutting Files.

Larissa Pittman from Muffins and Lace created this fun card using another new stamp set: Superheroes. Isn't that adorable? You can find out all of the details about her project on her blog.

Okay...here's today's freebie from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. This Super Dog Cutting File (which also includes clip art) will be available for FREE today only. Then, it will be available for purchase from the PPPR store.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. We have one more day of sneak peeks tomorrow, and then the release (and blog hop) are on Saturday). Eeeeeek! I wish I could explain how excited I am about this release! I really hope you all like it (because I just LOVE it)! See you tomorrow! :)

You're hotter than WASABI

Good morning friends.  Hope everyone is having an awesome morning. Today I have a card for you
called "You're hotter than WASABI"  using these two awesome sets
Got Sushi?

I stamped a few of the images from the Got Sushi? set onto a piece of 110 lb white cardstock
and colored them with my Copic markers.
I cut each image out adn arranged them on another piece of white cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment "You're hotter than Wasabi"
using black ink into the middle of the card.
I then tied twine in a bow on the top of the card.

This is such a fun set.
I do have a small confession as much as I love this stamp set I have never
eaten sushi. So maybe that is my next step.
How many of you love sushi?
What are your favorite kinds?

I hope you enjoyed my post today.
Don't forget next week we will have sneak peeks of the May release beginning
Wednesday May 27th. You are going to LOVE the new release.

Have a wonderful day friends.

Watercolour Technique Gnomie Card!

Ohhhh, the stamps included in this Gnomies set by Pretty Cute Stamps are sooo cute! They make me smile every time I see them! I found a scrap of wood grain white cardstock in my stash and thought it would be perfect as the background for this watercolour card. I love the look of top folding cards and rounding the bottom edges just seems to add a fun element.

I used a 'no line' watercolouring technique here - I stamped my images with Antique Linen Distress Ink onto watercolour paper and then used Distress and Tombow Markers to watercolour in the images. Because the Antique Linen is water reactive and a light colour it simply blends into the colour marker I used and you don't see a rigid stamped line!

I stamped the 'clouds' with a speech bubble from the Let's Talk stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps - another of my favs! Then I used a white gel pen to draw stitching lines around the edge after watercolouring and stamping with a couple adorbable Gnomie sentiments.

Taking a cue from Raven, another one of the talented Pretty Cute Stamps Design Team members who is always doing something incredibly crafty, I used Shrinky Dinks plastic to stamp on the mushroom house and coloured it in with Prismacolor Markers before shrinking it with my heat gun. How cute?!! Wouldn't this make a cute charm for a bracelet?!

Inside, I stamped the speech bubble and added the Hello sentiment using the Let's Talk set. A few sequins adds the finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired to do something crafty today :) The Pretty Cute Stamps store is always open and you can see what inspires you to create!

It's All About Water

Hi Stampers!!  I have an "oldie but a goodie" for you today!!  It might be something new for a lot of you.  I have used the Sea Ya Soon and Sea Life Sentiments sets to create this super fun-to-make Waterfall card.

I used papers from my stash and colored up the cute sea creatures with Spectrum Noir markers
The magic happens when you pull down the tab.

The pictures cascade down like a waterfall!

And as you pull the tab further, the sentiment is revealed!

And inside....

Wanna know how to make one for yourself??
I found this awesome video tutorial on You Tube...

Sea Ya Soon

Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun making your very own Waterfall Card!!
