Back To School

Hello friends. Larissa here with you today with a fun Back To School card set.
I used 3 different stamp sets.
ADORKABLE
THE WRITE STUFF

BACK TO SCHOOL

Card 1: I covered the entire background with the small apples and colored them using Copic markers. I cut the larger apple and popped it up on the card front over the sentiment using foam tape.

Card 2: I stamped the images from The Write Stuff stamp set as the background and colored them using Copic markers. I adhered the bus from Back To School set on the card front with foam tape.

Card 3: I stamped the images from Adorkable on the card front and colored them using Copic markers.

Card 4: I stamped the small book for the background and popped the little girl on the front with foam tape.

Card 5: For the final card I used images from Back To School and The Write Stuff on the card front.

This would be a cute set to give several teachers on the first day or giving it to the same teacher all year for different occasions  or just to say HI.

Hope you enjoyed my post today.

I Love My Nerd Card

I can't get enough of this Adorkable stamp set! For my card here I used the small hearts and clustered them together and stamped the background of my card and I used the sentiment " I love my nerd" as well as stamping out the little nerdy guy! :) He's so cute and just might resemble my real nerd IRL. Haha!

I think this might serve as a special Valentine for him this year for Valentine's Day! Who says Valentines have to be red, white and pink?

Have you started thinking about Valentine's Day yet? I have to admit, this is the first project with it in mind for me!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the new release stamps for January in the Pretty Cute Stamps shop!

Thanks NERD!

I had some fun creating this quirky little card using the Adorkable 4 x 6 stamp set. This is easily one of my favorite stamp sets...I am a librarian by day (and love to read), so this set will get lots of use from me I am sure. I'm thinking bookmarks, little notes for my fellow co-workers, calendars and planner add-ons, etc. Of course more cards too!

I chose the nerdy girl stamp and colored her in using my copic markers. She is just so stinkin' cute! This set is available in limited quantities so if you are thinking it's a keeper you better snatch it up quick! Check out the entire Adorkable set in more depth on the Pretty Cute Stamps website.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fireworks Rock

Hello, friends. Larissa here with you today with a 4th of July card. Today I am using two different sets.
I stamped the little boy on a piece of 110 lb white cardstock and colored him with my Copic markers. I then used Red and Blue ink and stamped the fireworks all over the card front.
I added stickles to the fireworks to finish them off.
As you can see I also made the glasses on the little boy into sunglasses.
I used glossy accents over the top of them to make them shine.

 Super simple card.
Perfect for July 4th.

Don't forget we have a challenge going on. Come join us and you could win a GC.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

I love my Nerd

Good morning friends. Larissa here with a Valentine card for you. I went back through some of the older Pretty Cute Stamp sets and found this one from the August 2014 release. This is
ADORKABLE!

I stamped the little girl onto a piece of white cardstock and colored her using my Copic markers.
I then cut her out.

I found some Valentine pattern paper and used it for the background.

I used glossy accents on her glasses and the heart on the sentiment.
I added polka dots to her dress and finished it off with some red twine in a bow.

I think this would also be cute to make little Valentine note cards for school party favors.

For the inside of the card I used a piece of the same black and white pattern paper and stamped some hearts around. I left it blank so you can write your own message.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today.
Hop over to Pretty Cute Stamps to get your own Adorkable set.
Have a wonderful Wednesday friends.

I like BIG BOOKS & SVG Outline Tips

Hey, everyone! I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday, so far. I have a quick little card to share with you today, along with some tips for using the SVG Outlines for your stamped images. Here's my card:

I got these fun books and the sentiment from the Pretty Cute Stamps Adorkable stamp set. To make this a super quick project, I stamped the book images on the Adorkable SVG Outlines. These files work with any electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files. When you import these SVG files into your cutting file software, they should hopefully import at the correct size for stamping. But, just in case, I've included the approximate sizes on the preview image for the outlines. So, you can double check once you open the files. Mine imported into my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition at exactly the correct size. When I decided to cut some of the outlines out, I just went ahead and cut out a whole bunch of different shapes. That way, I'd have them when I need them, and I don't have to fire up my Cameo when I feel like coloring some stamped images.

Here's a couple of tips for stamping on the outline cutouts:
  • Be sure to cut out a few duplicates of the same shape. That way, if you mess up with your coloring (like I always seem to do) or just don't stamp the image in just the right place, you have a backup).
  • Keep your cutouts stuck to the mat of your cutting machine. That way, they won't move around while you are stamping.
  • Be sure that you are positioned directly above the cutout when you are stamping. That will help make sure that you are stamping in just the right place. Then, just look though your clear acrylic stamping block, line up the stamp with the cutout (leaving a consistent border around the image), and stamp.

I decided to just go ahead and stamp all of my images on the cutouts. That way, I'll have the images ready for me when I'm ready to color them. I'll just pop them off of the mat and store them in an acid free container or envelope.

For my card above, I stacked a couple of the stamped images of the books. I just trimmed the top border off of the bottom set of books so it would look like a really tall stack of BIG BOOKS. Then, I colored the images with my Copic markers.

I hope these tips help you use the SVG cutouts. Each set is just 99 cents, and they make stamping images that you intend to cut out SO easy. I've been working on getting some SVG outlines for previous releases done, so I hope to have them in the store soon.

August Release Sneak Peek!

Hello and Happy Saturday crafty friends!  It's Kendra and it is finally time for me to reveal a little Sneak Peek of one of the new August Stamp Releases for Pretty Cute Stamps!  The August releases are really fabulous and have so much versatility - you're gonna love 'em! :)

Without further adieu.....here's a design I created using "Adorkable"!

Can I say how much I love this little girl with the glasses?!  Cutie Patootie!!  I wear glasses (only at night lol) and my hubby says this image reminds him of me when I have mine on....what? lol   This color combo is one of my very favorites and I think works really well here!

I decided to break up the sentiment....which I think looks really great! I used my Sakura Stardust pen to outline the books, her dress and the apple just for a little extra sparkle.  I had a mini apple punch laying around I got from ebay way back in the day and I decided to use it....which adds a little pop of dimension.   All the supplies used in my design are listed below. :)

Join us for the August Release Blog Hop starting here on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog this Wednesday, August 20th for some wonderful crafty goodness!  Also, the newest releases will be on sale for the first week!

Be sure to visit me over at Inkin' It Up with Kendra! Have a crafty day and I'll see you soon!
