February Calendar using Planner Stamps and More!

Hi friends! Karla here today. I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend! The sun has been out, the snow is melting, and even though it's still a little chilly, it does feel like spring is coming soon! Today, I wanted to share our family's monthly calendar with you and the way I use the awesome stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps to plan the month.

I picked this planner up at Costco in the fall and really love the large spaces it has for keeping track of our family activities. At the beginning of each month I sit down and fill out everything I know that is scheduled, and then as things pop up I put them on throughout the month. My go to stamps each month are the School Planner and Everyday Planner stamp sets. Then I choose from the other sets I have depending on what is going on. You can see some stamps from the Happy Crafting set on the 3rd and 12th, and stamps from the Be Mine set on the 13th and 14th.

This month I've added a Happy Birthday for my hubby's birthday from the Little Llama set on the 24th. The coffee cup on the 23rd is from the Coffee Faces set (with a heart from Little Llama). On the 8th and 24th I used stamps from the Great Chemistry set as well.

I like to decorate the top of the calendar, and this month I used the Eskimo Kisses set. Love this cute girl and igloo! After stamping I coloured in the girl with coloured pencils, and I stamped the igloo with a Kaleidoscope ink pad, adding shading with my pencils. I love using these variegated ink pads for my planner and calendar stamping - I can choose a particular colour within a pad or stamp the colours together to get a different look.

Here's a look at the cute planner stamps I've used, and you can have a look at all the fun PCS planner stamps here.

Sept 2015 Sneak Peek Day 1

Woo HOO!!! The big day is finally here! It's time for the Pretty Cute Stamps September 2015 Stamp Release Sneak Peeks! YAY! Here on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog, we will be sharing sneak peeks with you today through Wednesday. Then, I'll show you all of the new stamps, and we'll have a 2 day new release blog hop on Thursday and Friday. So, let's get to today's sneak peeks.

Today, we're showcasing three planner stamp sets: Holiday Planner, School Planner, and Exam Planner. Be sure to stop by these wonderful crafters' blogs to find out all of the details about their projects.

Amber Rasmussen from Sew Ink shows how she used the Holiday Planner stamps on her February calendar. I love how colorful it is!

Larrissa Pittman from Muffins and Lace created these amazing cards using the Holiday Planner set along with the Currently stamp set. Isn't this a great idea?

Dawn Mercedes, from Sunnyside Up, created some amazing folders for her friend who home schools her children. She used the new School Planner stamp set, along with several older sets to decorate these amazing folders. Aren't they awesome? Be sure to stop by her blog to see more photos and check out all of the details.

I also used the School Planner set along with the Exam Planner set to create my projects. I decided to create some stickers and planner clips for my 6th grader's school planner:

I bought white rectangular and circular labels from an office supply store and color coded them with my Copic markers. That way, I got bright, fun colors that go perfectly with my daughter's bright, fun personality. Then, once the ink was dry, I stamped words and images from the School Planner and Exam Planner stamp sets.

I also found these cute little clip flags at the office supply store and added some words and images from the same sets. Now, she can mark the pages she needs to read and study in her textbook or notes.

I hope you enjoyed our sneak peeks for today. I also have a freebie for you that goes really well with these planner stamp sets. This School Planner Clips Cutting Files set will be available for FREE today only! Then, it will be available for purchase from the PPPR store. You can get this freebie HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks!

Shrink plastic ~ I'm hooked!

Hey friends! I have a confession. I'm totally obsessed with Shrink Plastic. No really! It's such a problem I don't even want to stop as I love it so much.

So I also have another love...my planner. Do you all plan? I've found it such an addictive thing to do. I have three young kiddos who stay pretty active, along with volunteer stuff and work so I NEED something that keeps me organized. I recently found this amazing planning community and I decorate my planner and add all kinds of yummy goodness to it.

So with that being said I grabbed the ADORABLE stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps called Milk and Cookies and stamped it onto some shrink plastic. I colored in the images with my prismacolor colored pencils and then used my heat emboss tool to shrink them. Then I added a little bit of E6000 onto the back of the paperclip and glued those babies on! They still looked a little too plain for my taste so I added a bit of glitter glue (stickles) to the top on the blue section and the chocolate chips.

I just love them. I need to make some stickers now and maybe something else uber fun! Ideas...ideas...

Hope you are all having a super creative day!

Hugs,
Raven

Doll Face

Okay so I'm addicted to my planner. I will be the first to admit it. But there is just something about having a functional planner that can make my life seem so much more at peace. I know whats going on with the kids and I know where everything goes AND to boot I can make it pretty. Everything is better with some glitter and pink added to it.

SOOOOO...today's post showcases some really fun paperclips that I made using the adorable new stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps called Matryoshka Mom

These stamps are just the cutest and when paired with some Prismacolors and pretty paper you have fun little gifts that you can give to neighbors as Thank you's or on Mother's Day to those special women in your life.

I just love them. I hope you all enjoy seeing planner stuff because I'm addicted to it lol. Have a great week!

Hugs,
Raven
