Donut Birthday Card!

Hi crafty friends!! Karla here today to share a cute donut card using the Donut Worry, Be Happy stamp from Pretty Cute Stamps. My 10 year old daughter, Amie went to a friend's birthday party on the weekend at a doughnut shop called Jelly Modern Doughnuts. The kids had a blast decorating donuts! Of course, I thought it only fitting that her little friend got a 'Donut' card ;)

This sentiment, included in the set, is one of my favourites!

I stamped these happy donuts on watercolour paper and watercoloured them in - they look so 'sweet'!

Inside, I used two sentiments from the Wish Big Pretty Cute Stamps set.

I really love decorating the envelope, even if it's with a quick sentiment and image stamped with coloured ink! I added some fun sequins - perfect in keeping with the 'sprinkled' theme.

Here's a look at the amazing donuts Amie decorated at her friend's birthday party. She did a great job, and they were very yummy too!

Here are the two stamp sets I used today:

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow - Get Well Card!

Hello! Karla here today to share a cute get well card with you, and since it is officially Spring I thought the PCS Rain Or Shine clear stamp set would be the perfect thing to use! I recently went through all my patterned paper and found this cute umbrella paper in my stash - it immediately made me think of this adorable stamp set!

I stamped the umbrella on some patterned paper and used my Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers to add some colour to the edges and handle before popping up with foam dots.  I really love the font on 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow' sentiment from the set!

I've been playing around with my new Distress Oxide Inks and created a background with some fun splatters! These inks are awesome!! I used my CTMH oval cutting system to cut out a piece of the background along with a black mat. I love the way the sunshine stamp in the Rain Or Shine stamp set peeks out from behind the umbrella! I added some yellow marker colour on the sun and then dropped some Glossy Accents over the oval and umbrella to look like rain drops.

I tied a pretty blue silk ribbon and added my favourite sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps!

I love all the fun sentiments in this set - and this was perfect for my get well card, and these little rubber boots are so adorable with a matching paper pieced print!

Doesn't this card just make you feel happier?!! I know it makes me smile :)

Llama Happy Birthday!

Hey there friends! Karla here today with a cute llama birthday card that I made for my daughter using the Little Llama clear stamp set. She turned 10 in January and made a special request for this llama wearing a sombrero to be on her card! I used my Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers, which are alcohol based to colour in this adorable llama and her pretty hat, which I popped up with foam dots. I thought I'd use the fun and festive BoBunny Believe papers from a 6x6 pad along with some pretty sequins.

I layered the sentiment from the set over a banner shape and added some hand drawn stitch lines.

Inside, I used the Happy Birthday sentiment and a couple hearts from the set - and since I forgot to take a pic before writing a sweet message to my girl I thought I'd share that with you too! I always make sure I add the date in the card so she'll be able to see when she got it.

Here's a look at this super cute set - with lots of sentiments for different occasions!

Snowmies Watercolor Card!

Hi there crafty friends! I hope you've all had a wonderful winter break. Karla here today to share a cute snowman card with you. It has finally warmed up here a bit, but we still have snow on the ground and there are a few snowman to be seen around the neighborhood. I must say that my favourite snowman are these cute watercoloured ones that I can create in my jammies!

I stamped the snowman and snowgirl from the Snowmies stamp set on watercolour paper and used Distress and Tombow Markers to watercolour in my images. I've been loving purple lately and decided to pull some pinks and purples from the Pink Paislee background paper for a pretty winter feeling. I used the snowy background stamp included in the set to add white heat embossed snow as a resist in the background before adding some blue watercolour.

I used some snowflake and heart stamps from the Little Llama set - there are two sizes of snowflakes in this set and I used Distress Inks to add them to my wintery scene. I added a sentiment stamp from the Snowmies set right below my snowmen and used my Cricut Explore to diecut some cool snowflakes to add to the front.

Inside, I added the outside cut to the negative snowflake I put on the front, some matching paper and a couple more snowflake stamps.

I love the fun, wintery look of this card. A few pretty sequins add some shiny glimmer as a finishing touch!

With Sugar On Top Scrapbook Layout!

Karla here today to share an 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook layout showing our gingerbread house the girls and I created last year. The funny thing about gingerbread houses - in my experience anyways - is they never quite turn out to look like they do on the box, lol! But we sure do have lots of fun making them!

Of course, I had to use the Gingerbread House stamp set on my layout! I stamped the fun gumdrops from the set onto some white carstock that I had misted with Glimmer Mist sprays and fussy cut them out before adding some sugary Stickles. I even stamped directly onto my photo (seen above) with the awesome sentiment "Goody Goody Gumdrops". On the bottom right corner I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment above the handwritten date.

I had almost as much fun creating this layout as I did making the gingerbread house ;) You can see all the details on the products used in this layout on my blog post.

Mouse Happy Birthday Card!

Hi there crafty friends! Karla popping by today to share this cute mouse birthday card from a party that my 4 year old went to last month! This adorable little mouse holding a cupcake is the Mouse Birthday digital stamp. I printed her out on white cardstock and coloured her in with Prismacolor and Hobby Colour Markers.

I used my Cricut to cut out the scalloped circle and cut around the digi image with a circle cutter before layering the image on my background BoBunny papers. I use the PCS Birthday Elephant digital stamp for the presents, printing them in two different sizes and using two circle punches to cut them out. A little foam tape on some of the layers gives a bit of dimension.

Some pretty sequins and some ribbon trim added the perfect birthday touches!

Inside, I used a sentiment from Mouse Birthday, printed directly onto my pink carstock.

Happy Halloween Treats!

Hey there crafty friends! Karla here today with some cute treat bags to share with you. My girls are so excited about Halloween, and one of the things they love to do is give out treats to their friends at this time of the year!

I wanted to make up some cute tags for the bags, so I started by making a grid in a word processing program on my computer and inserting the Halloween digital stamps and sentiments from Werewolf, Candy Faces, Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein's Monster, Mummy, Vampire , Zombie and My Boo. I originally made these as Lunch Box Notes, but figured they'd also work great to add to a tag. I left them uncoloured and added crayons to the treat bags so the kids could colour them after eating their candy. 'Cause you know a 4 year old is eating the candy first, lol!

I used the label feature on my computer to quickly create this sheet of labels - adding a sentiment from the Werewolf digital stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps and typing in Erica's name below. After I stuck the stickers to the back of the tags, these cute bags were ready to tie up and head to the class party!

I thought these cute tags finished off the treat bags so nicely!

Here's Erica all ready to celebrate. She's actually planning on being a witch for the big day but wanted to change it up for today. And, hey, when you're 4 that's just how you roll!

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out the Pretty Cute Stamps Store, and if you're celebrating Halloween, I hope you have lots of spooky fun!

Crocheted With Love Tag and Video!

Hey there!! How is everyone today?! Hopefully great! Karla here today, and I just finished crocheting this cute baby rattle for a friend who's having a baby and, of course, I had to add a little handmade gift tag! The Knit Happens stamp set was perfect!

After cutting out my tag using a Spellbinders die I sponged blue Distress Ink around the edges and then stamped on the sweet sentiment and hearts included in the stamp set.

I used the coordinating SVG files and my Cricut Explore to cut out the yarn and crochet hook diecuts and then stamped on them and coloured with coloured pencils.

I used some foam dots to pop up my little yarn cut and tied my tag onto the baby rattle with blue and white bakers twine. Now, this little baby rattle is all ready to give to my friend who's expecting a new baby boy anyday! I`m thinking I may make a bunch of these as a gift to a friend who crochets gifts on a regular basis!

You can check out the video where I show you how I made this cute tag here!
