With Sugar On Top Scrapbook Layout!

Karla here today to share an 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook layout showing our gingerbread house the girls and I created last year. The funny thing about gingerbread houses - in my experience anyways - is they never quite turn out to look like they do on the box, lol! But we sure do have lots of fun making them!

Of course, I had to use the Gingerbread House stamp set on my layout! I stamped the fun gumdrops from the set onto some white carstock that I had misted with Glimmer Mist sprays and fussy cut them out before adding some sugary Stickles. I even stamped directly onto my photo (seen above) with the awesome sentiment "Goody Goody Gumdrops". On the bottom right corner I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment above the handwritten date.

I had almost as much fun creating this layout as I did making the gingerbread house ;) You can see all the details on the products used in this layout on my blog post.

Pocket Page Camping Scrapbook Layouts!

Karla here today! Well, September is here and we've headed back to school! It's all very exciting - my daughter, Amie is in Grade 4 and loving it! I am still not quite ready to let the summer go yet though, so I've been working on scrapping some of those fun camping photos from my stash.

I used lots of adorable images from the May and June digital stamp releases from Pretty Cute Stamps, along with Simple Stories Summer Vibes papers and journaling cards and some fun sequins - slipped them in some pocket pages and now they're ready to place in my album!

Whenever I get new digital stamp images I open them in a word processing program and make a printable sheet that I have all ready to print onto white cardstock as many times as I need. Whenever I have a few extra minutes I grab my alcohol based markers and colour them up and cut them out. Now they're ready to use directly on my photos or journaling cards, similar to a sticker! I added this cute beaver from the Beavers Digital Stamp set right on the Simple Stories card and added a fun sequin for shine!

I sponged on a bit of Distress Ink around the edges of my sentiments from the Summer Fun and Summer Memories sets before adding them to my pages, and below I layered on this adorable lantern from the Shine Bright Digital Stamp set and a few more sequins before hand writing my journaling. I hand cut some of the images from the Simple Stories collection to layer in my pocket elements as well.

For my second page I had some fun food and s'mores pics - and couldn't wait to use these adorable images from the S'mores and S'mores Sentiments Digital Stamp sets!

Of course, you have to have a campfire to roast your marshmallows, and this cute little fire from the Light My Fire set was just the right thing!

I actually printed my sentiments from Happy Camper Sentiments and S'mores Sentiments directly on the woodgrain journaling cards by printing them first on white paper and then taping them down in place over the area I had already printed on so I could line them up how I wanted them. These cute little hearts from the Beavers set added another sweet embellishment. I love how cute the S'mores look inside this coordinating Simple Stories frame!

Using Digital Stamps on a Digital Project Life Page!

Karla here today! I love using my Project Life app on my iPad, and it was so easy to incorporate the cute digital stamp files from Pretty Cute Stamps onto my page, that I just had to share!

I first opened my saved digital page in the PicMonkey program and then choose to embellish with the PNG versions of the digital stamps I wanted to use by choosing to add an overlay by clicking on the butterfly icon. This allowed me to layer on the PCS Digital Stamps to create a scene. I adjusted the opacity of some of the stamps so they were lighter, like the sand dollars on the card background on the top left and the seashell which looks like it's inside the jar on the bottom right!

I love the way I can change the colour of the stamps and even turn them to fit just the way I want on my page. The Splish Splash card reminds me of hand stitching. You could easily embellish single cards this way and print them with your photos to put in a physical album as well!

Here's a look at the page when I first created it in the PL app, with the journaling cards I chose. I typed my journaling on one of the cards and left the others blank so I could embellish with PCS digital stamps.

Here's a look at the stamp sets I used. The sentiments are so awesome!

Snowmies Scrapbook Layout!

Karla here today to bring you a scrapbook layout I created with my Cricut Explore and Pretty Cute Stamps! One of my favourite things about Lisa's stamps are the fabulous sentiments included with each set!

I was inspired to create this page from a Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine layout on Pinterest.  I decided to design the layout in Design Space, and then when I was ready to make it, it was really quick!  If you want to use this layout yourself, here's the link to my file in Design Space .

My background paper is from the Simple Stories Snow Fun paper pack, the woodgrain paper is from Carta Bella and the banners are cut from BoBunny Sleigh Ride paper. I used the adorable snowman from the Snowmies Stamp set by PCS and used the sentiments included in this set on my layout as well as directly on my photos!

The Snowman from the stamp set was stamped on watercolour paper and I used Distress and Tombow Markers to colour him in. I love the way adding a stamp lets you colour coordinate your image to match your photos!

Here's a look at the Snowmies Stamp set:

Fall Scrapbook Layout and Pocket Page!

Karla here today sharing some Fall scrapbook pages from a couple years ago. I can't believe how fast time flies!! Here in Alberta (Canada) you need to catch the Fall leaves when they're out. We've already lost a lot of the leaves on the trees because of a really strong wind over the weekend! Fall seems to only last a few weeks here between the time the leaves change and are gone!

This Harvest Happiness stamp set was just perfect for creating a scrapbook layout and pocket page full of Fall photos!
Harvest Happiness
In these photos we were enjoying some outdoor time at a local amusement park in our city. They decorate for Fall, and it's always a nice place to take the kids. I used papers and diecut ephemera from the BoBunny Enchanted Harvest collection and used my Cricut to cut out feathers and a tag, which I used in my pocket page below.

The cute scarecrows, leaves, hay and corn stalks are all from the Harvest Happiness stamp set. I used Distress Markers to watercolor in my images after stamping on watercolour paper.

I coloured my feather diecuts by adding some Distress Inks to my craft sheet, spritzing with Perfect Pearls mist for shimmer, and laying my feathers and tag into the ink to create a glittery, marbleized colour. The Happy Harvest sentiment stamped below is also from this adorable set!

The coordinating SVG cuts made it so super easy and fast to add these cute little leaves to my project!

Since I had more photos I wanted to use for this event I decided to use a pocket page. I love being able to decorate my journaling cards with stamped images!

I backed my feather tag with some coordinating paper and stapled on some ribbon before stamping with one of my favourite sentiments from this set!

I love this cute little girl scarecrow!! You can see another card I made using this sweet set here!

Thanks so much for joining me today! Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends, and I wish everyone a lovely week! Don't forget to check out all the October New Releases right now at the Pretty Cute Stamps store
