Crocheted With Love Tag and Video!

Hey there!! How is everyone today?! Hopefully great! Karla here today, and I just finished crocheting this cute baby rattle for a friend who's having a baby and, of course, I had to add a little handmade gift tag! The Knit Happens stamp set was perfect!

After cutting out my tag using a Spellbinders die I sponged blue Distress Ink around the edges and then stamped on the sweet sentiment and hearts included in the stamp set.

I used the coordinating SVG files and my Cricut Explore to cut out the yarn and crochet hook diecuts and then stamped on them and coloured with coloured pencils.

I used some foam dots to pop up my little yarn cut and tied my tag onto the baby rattle with blue and white bakers twine. Now, this little baby rattle is all ready to give to my friend who's expecting a new baby boy anyday! I`m thinking I may make a bunch of these as a gift to a friend who crochets gifts on a regular basis!

You can check out the video where I show you how I made this cute tag here!

Crocheted With Love!

Karla here today, and I am having an awesome summer. I really hope you all are too! I'm not getting quite as much craftiness in as I normally would, but I started to bring a crochet project along with me when I take the kids to the park. This way I can work on something that's easily portable and feel like I'm accomplishing something while they play.

Since my project is still ongoing (I'll share it when I'm done!), it did get me in the mood to create a sweet card and tag that I can attach to my gift when it's complete. I am love, love, loving this adorable Pretty Cute Stamps set Knit Happens. Ok, how cute is the name of this set!!

I used some Cosmo Cricket paper from the Odds and Ends collection I picked up quite a while ago for the background of my card and tag. The balls of yarn were stamped on a background that I created on watercolour paper with Distress Inks and water on a craft sheet using a smooshing technique. I love how the colours blended together! I added some Ranger Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles to add glitter to my yarn and popped some of the balls up with foam tape.

I absolutely adore this little teensy crochet hook!! I used Glossy Accents on it after tucking it into my basket for a shiny look.

On the tag you can see more glittery fun on my yarn and the cute hearts included in the set. I popped up the yarn label after adding the super sweet face! I just love the little faces that come in this set <3

Here's a look at my tag tied around a crocheted tea cozy that I made a while back. While this isn't the project I'm going to be giving away, it is something you can get the free pattern from on Ravelry to make your own!

Here's a look at all the awesomeness included in this stamp set! Whether you knit, crochet or just like yarn - you know what I'm talking about! - this is an incredible set to have. You can pop over to the Pretty Cute Stamps store to see all the cuteness just waiting to create with!

Tag, You're It!

Hi Stampers, Janna here and I have some super cute gift tags to show you
today using the Pen Pals set.
I just thought the adorable snail in this set would be so fun to make up some cute and quick tags.

I colored the snail's bodies with Spectrum Noir markers and paper-pieced their shells.

I glued the bottom of the snail to the tag, but popped up the upper portion of the snail for some dimension.  I applied some liquid glass under the snail for the "snail trail" :)
These were a lot of fun to make, if you haven't tried paper piecing yet, I encourage you to
give it a try!

Thank you for popping in, and Happy Stamping!

Sneak Peek Day 5 - Great Chemistry!

Hi there! Karla here today, and you are sooo going to love the amazing stamps coming out this month!! I am so excited to share the Great Chemistry set with you today! Since Valentines is around the corner of course I had to make up some cute Valentine tags :)

I love paper piecing stamped images, and I love the way it looks like there are all kinds of amazing potions in these vials! I also used Gelliroll pens and Prismacolor Markers on my stamped images - I find the gel pens can add that bit of shine and hightlight to your project.

I hand cut the tags and punched the bottom with a lacy punch, and I also added some texture paste through a heart stencil. The cool part was adding silver glitter on top of the wet texture paste!

On the back of the tags I stamped all these super cool sentiments! So awesome!

I love the way this set can be used for Valentines, but is also so versatile. I can see using this set throughout the year for sure - birthdays, hello and love cards, and even Halloween!

I've also mentioned before how my 7 year old daughter loves lunch box notes! Well, of course I had to make some for her with the Great Chemistry set! And, of course, she loved them :)

I'm so glad you joined me today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for another sneak peek and then on Wednesday for the big Blog Hop January 2015 release! You will get to see a whole lot more fun projects and the stamp sets themselves - which will be available for purchase at the Pretty Cute Stamps store!

Pretty Cute Stamps December 2014 Release Blog Hop

Happy December RELEASE DAY, everyone, and welcome to the Pretty Cute Stamps December 2014 Release Blog Hop. YAY! My fabulous Design Team and I have some super cute projects to show you today that we created using the very newest PCS stamps.

But first, I want to show you all of the new stamps you can purchase now in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. Oh, and, most importantly...all of the new items (even the bundle) are ON SALE until 11:59 EST on Friday, December 19. Woo HOO! The sale is a little shorter than usual this month because my family and I will be traveling for the holidays, and I won't be around to ship stamps for a while after the 19th. Anyway...here they are. You can click on each of the photos to see these in the PCS Store:

December 2014 Stamp Release Bundle (contains all of the stamp sets below)

Sip Enjoy Relax 2x3" Stamp Set (FREE with any 2 stamp minimum purchase during the SALE).

The SVG Outlines for the images on each of these new sets are also now available in the store. So, if you're not one who likes fussy-cutting around images and has access to an electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files, these could be a great resource for you. The stamp images are not included with these files...you need the stamp sets for those. Oh, and these SVG Outlines are also ON SALE until Tuesday night, too!

Okay, here is my project that uses the sweet little freebie Sip Enjoy Relax stamp set:

I decided to create a tag for my daughter's Christmas gift for her teacher. I colored this sweet little mug from the Sip Enjoy Relax set using my Copic Markers. I also added a face to the mug using my Oh, Christmas Tree stamp set (there are several faces in other sets that will fit this little cup, too). I stamped the image and sentiment on a tag I cut using my Silhouette Cameo and my Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Tags 1 Cutting Files set. I added a little bit of doodled stitching, and my tag was all done.

The best part about this set, in case you missed it, is that it will be included for FREE with any order of 2 stamp sets or more during the December New Release Sale (Dec. 17-19). Then, it will be for sale in the store for only $3.75!  WOW!

Pretty Christmas Gift Tags!

Hi! Karla here today with a fun gift tag feature! I am so enjoying December! I've finally got my Christmas cards sent out, our tree is up, we've built our gingerbread house - we found a Frozen one this year, so the girls were really excited! Although, Erica, who's almost 3, couldn't understand why we couldn't eat it immediately after making it :)

We've been wrapping gifts as we get them ready, so there won't be so much to do all at once.  I realized I needed a few more tags, so I decided to combine some Pretty Cute Stamps sets to create these gift tags.

I started with some white cardstock, which I cut into tags, rounding the upper corners of each. Next I stamped the border with Versamark using the Any Better Than This frame, the snowflakes from Christmas Cheer, and a sentiment from the Oh Christmas Tree set. After I heat embossed with gold and silver inks I sponged the edges with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks, leaving a white area in the center.

For the second tag I used the frame and hearts from Celebrate Today and another sentiment from Oh Christmas Tree. I made the hearts into hanging ornaments by drawing lines and bows with some gold and silver pens.

I tied some gold and silver ribbons onto my tags and some bakers twine to attach them to my gifts. Now they are all ready to be delivered!

How are your Christmas plans coming along? I hope you can take time to enjoy all the little things, from wrapping gifts to watching 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'. Thanks so much for joining me today, and be sure to check out the Pretty Cute Stamps store for a gift for someone, or for yourself ;) You can even email a Pretty Cute Stamps gift certificate to a lucky person on your gift list!
