Little Llama Birthday Card!

Oh my gosh, have you seen this Pretty Cute Stamps Little Llama stamp set?!! Too cute!!

Karla here today, and I recently made this card for a friend's birthday and totally had to share it with you! For my background I used a sheet from the Kaisercraft Base Coat Christmas 6x6 paper pad and heat embossed the snowflakes from the Pretty Cute Stamps Christmas Cheer stamp set.  I have used these snowflakes so much already! I stamped this sweet little guy on kraft cardstock and coloured him in with coloured pencils. The hearts are included in the set as well and I coloured them in with gel pens before layering them over the vellum banner and inside the card.

Of course, I'm a big fan of stamps I can add details on with, such as this cool scarf - perfect for a winter birthday! I coloured it in with markers and added some white gel pen dots before popping it up with foam dots.

I just love this sentiment...! I stamped the front on vellum so I didn't cover up my snowflakes.

Inside:

I love that this Little Llama stamp set can be used for so many occasions!!

Thanks so much for joining me today. Be sure to head over to the Pretty Cute Store to check out all the amazing stamp sets available! Wishing you a really awesome week :)

Awesome Arrows

Hey beautiful crafters! I'm so happy to share with you a tag I made using the new Awesome Arrows stamp set!

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite out of this release but then again I notice I keep picking up those Lizards time and time again so ya never know!

We needed something cute to wrap some gifts in this weekend and so I grabbed the heat and stick and some silver glitter and got to stamping.

Hope you all have a wonderful week and happy crafting!!!

Hugs,
Raven

PCS November 2014 Stamp Release Hop

Happy RELEASE DAY, everyone, and welcome to the Pretty Cute Stamps November 2014 Release Blog Hop. YAY! My amazing Design Team and I have some super cute projects to show you today that we created using the very newest PCS stamps.

But first, I want to show you all of the new stamps you can purchase now in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. Oh, and, most importantly...all of the new items (even the bundle) are ON SALE until 11:59 EST on Tuesday, November 25. Woo HOO! Anyway...here they are. You can click on each of the photos to see these in the PCS Store:

The SVG Outlines for the images on each of these new sets are also now available in the store. So, if you're not one who likes fussy-cutting around images and has access to an electronic cutting machine that can use SVG files, these could be a great resource for you. The stamp images are not included with these files...you need the stamp sets for those. Oh, and these SVG Outlines are also ON SALE until Tuesday night, too!

Okay, here is my project that uses the super cute new Snowmies stamp set.

I colored this smiley little snowman using my Copic Markers. I also stamped the snowy background using the dotted stamp in the Snowmies set. This little stamp is great because it is totally tileable, which means I can create a snowy background just as big as I want it to be by stamping it side by side. I used an embossing ink and opaque white embossing powder to create the white snowiness.  I created the card base by using the shape from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Snow Globe Cutting File. Then, I stamped a sentiment from the Snowmies set on the little label on the front of the snow globe. And, my fun winter card was all done. :)

Okay, now how about a PRIZE????

I, for one, am really excited about this release...there are a lot of cuties on these sets! Anyway...here's my sneak of the last stamp set for this release: Milk & Cookies.

Falalalala la la la LLAMA!!! Sneak Peek

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you've been having a fabulous weekend! I have another fun sneak peek project for you today. I created a fun little wine bottle gift tag using one of the Pretty Cute Stamps November Release stamp sets that will be available for purchase on Wednesday, November 19th. Here it is:

This sweet little Llama, his clothes, and the silly sentiment all come from the upcoming Little Llama stamp set. I can't wait for you to see this set. There are so many cute little sayings included, and there are so many different ways you can use the llama. The hat and scarf are separate stamps, so you can use the llama all year round and use the accessories to dress up other stamps, if you want. :)

Here's a close up of my Copic Marker coloring and that fun little sentiment. By the way, I got the Bottle Tag from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and cut it with my Silhouette Cameo.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come back on Monday and Tuesday for more awesome sneak peeks and then on Wednesday for our November Release Blog Hop. Here's all of the November Release events (click on the photo to see it larger).

We're Having ...Snow Much Fun!! Sneak Peek!

Oh My Goodness! You are going to love this month's releases!!! Karla here, and I get to feature the adorable Snowmies set from Pretty Cute Stamps November Release today :) We have had lots of snow and cold weather here already, so I have been keeping warm inside with a nice hot cup of tea and creating these cute wintry friends.

I created the background by stamping the snow stamp (think of all the fun things you could do with this!) on watercolour paper with Versamark Ink and then heat embossing with white embossing powder.  I then used a watercolour palette to swirl pretty colours in the background. I just love how the snow resists the watercolour! I handcut the snowy hills and edged them with Distress Ink and then layered the hills and Snowmies to create a scene. Love this sentiment - you could use it for a winter birthday, Christmas or just a hello card!

I used white embossing powder to stamp these sweet Snowmies on watercolour paper before painting them. Watercolouring stamped images is so easy and one of my favourite ways to colour images.

Isn't this Snowmie girl too cute?! I love her smile :)

Inside, I stamped another awesome sentiment and popped up the mitten stamps with foam tape, adding a little bakers twine - we wouldn't want their mittens to get lost!

I'm so glad you could join me today for this fun sneak peek! You can keep up to date with all the posts and new release info at the Facebook event and the right here at the Pretty Cute Stamps blog! Be sure to keep checking back for more amazing projects and the big November Stamp Release Blog Hop on November 19th where you will be able to find this adorable Snowmies (I just love that name!!) stamp set at the Pretty Cute Stamps store.

Have an awesome weekend, full of craftiness and fun - and keep warm!!

Leapin' Lizards it's COLD outside!

Okay, so I realize in some parts of the Earth it's much colder than 18 degrees, but for New Mexico, trust me, that IS COLD! With that said, I'd like to think about summer for a minute.

Okay, maybe not summer, but definitely creatures you would see in the beautiful summer weather. For our super fun Sneak peeks, today, I wanted to focus on GIFTS. Because, it's Christmas time and I feel like it's also crunch time. So here is a cute gift you can make for neighbors, your primary class, classmates...the sky is the limit here.

Let me show you some pictures and then I will tell you how you can create your own with some simple supplies!

I keep things! Like a pack rat, but not really, I mean...it's organized! That doesn't count as a pack rat right? And who cares that my husband looks at me funny when I ask him to save his Altoids containers, they make cute storage for puzzles! P.S. You can cover that if you'd like but I like the look of it.

Supplies
1. Leapin' Lizards stamp set from the November Pretty Cute Stamps Release (due out on November 19).
2. Water Color Paper cut at 8x8 or the size you'd like your puzzle.
3. Water based stamp pads in the color of your choice. I use Stampin' Up inks to color but  you can use any water based ink really.
3. StazOn Ink
4. Paint brush

Optional supplies:
*Altoids container
*Die Cut Machine-I give alternatives to this below
*Laminator-I give alternatives to this below
*An acrylic block (used for both stamping your image as well as for coloring)

Directions
1. Cut a piece of water color paper to the size of your puzzle shapes (8x8) for this puzzle.
*If you do not have a die cutter you will be using your cutter to cut straight lines. If you want to be fancy use your scissors and cut out wavy lines! ECK

2. Using StazOn ink and the Leapin' Lizards stamp set, stamp your desired images all over your paper.

3. With your desired Water based inks "stamp" a small smidgen of ink onto your acrylic block. *If you don't have an acrylic block you can use wax paper or freezer paper it works the same.

4. With a paint brush pick up a small amount of your ink and get coloring. Work from the under part of the body up spreading your color in that direction as the under part of the body is normally darker. (For coloring I personally use watercolor pens but a paint brush will work as well)

*Optional- Laminate your image whole. (If you don't own a laminator you could seal your image with school glue or mod podge but you will need to be very liberal with it as it could smear your coloring and wait for it to completely dry prior to cutting anything.)

*Optional- Set your cutting machine to 7 or higher because you will need to cut through a thicker paper now. (You may have to pause your machine and increase your blade depth if you notice it is not cutting all the way through.)
I found a free Puzzle SVG online just by googling "Free Puzzle SVG".
-If you do not have a cutting machine you can now use your cutter and make squares. Alternatively you can use scissors and get creative.

Now decorate your altoids container and you are all set. Give this as a fun gift or keep it for yourself as a "purse entertainer" for your little ones!

Be sure to come back all week as the Design Team Gals have some FABULOUS projects to share with you! Trust me...I've seen them, so I speak the truth! ;)

Hugs and Creative Blessings,
Raven
