Just WRITE Mini Card Set

TGIF, everyone! It's always great to have some fun little cards around to send as a little pick me up to a friend or loved one. So, today, I want to share a set of mini cards I created using images and sentiments from the Pretty Cute Stamps The Write Stuff stamp set.

These cards are all 4 inches square. I chose five different colors of polkadotted paper from my scrap bin and created doodled frames with my white gelly roll pen. Then, I stamped my images on the The Write Stuff SVG Outlines that I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo. These outlines made creating with these images so easy because I didn't need to cut them out. I colored the images using my Copic markers, and I stamped the sentiments on shapes from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Speech Bubbles Cutting Files set.  Here are some close ups of the cards:

I love how simple these were to create, and I love that I have these on hand to use as thank you notes or love notes for my family. Here are the PCS items I used for my projects:

Thank you so much for stopping by today. We'll be back next week with more Pretty Cute Stamps inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Owl You Doin?

Hello my crafty friends and Happy Wednesday, It's Kendra!
I've been so busy with work and also in my craft room over the last week...I've gotten several cards done, but here is one that I am really loving!  I decided to go with a more simple design, which is really hard for me, I love to have a lot going on!  :)  I used "Chick with Brains" - one of our new Pretty Cute Stamps August Releases   - love this image!

The little bow is a separate stamp (which you can use for a bowtie or a hairbow!), I stamped it on some patterned paper, cut it out and then glued it on....love it!

I used my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (one of my favorite mediums of choice)  After I got her all colored and cut out, I used Ranger Glossy Accents to add some dimension to her glasses...makes them look so real! :)

I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I'm really lovin' this color combo (saw it on a pinterest board).  The center frames are popped up on dimensionals for a little extra depth.

Here is another close up:

Thanks for looking and I hope this gives you a little bit of inspiration....if you haven't grabbed this set yet, run over and get it!  Don't forget to stop by our Pretty Cute Stamps FB page, like us and also post your PCS designs - we'd love to see what you've come up with!  Stop on over at my Blog - Inkin' It Up with Kendra!

Have a fabulous day!!

Eye on the images!

Coloring in images can be such fun!  I really enjoy using watercolors as my medium. After all the creative juices go into your image, keep the background plain so you can show off the images, colors, and your style!

I needed a few thank you notes for my son's birthday party. I cut some Strathmore Blank Greeting Cards (which are watercolor paper) in half so the card base measures 3.5 x 5 inches. This way, I could stamp the Yeti, from Big Hairy Hello, directly onto the card base and color him in!

Then I added a popped up, Stickle-fied mountain range!

Remember to add a little detail to the inside of your card too!

It is nearly time for visits to apple orchards...so be sure to pick up this new release! Tomorrow is the last day you can pick Bushels of Fun (and the other August release sets) on sale!

I believe it to my core that you are going to find 2 MUST HAVE sets from this month's release! What two sets are you putting into your bushel basket this month?

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you'll LIKE our FB page and post your designs soon so we can admire them and be inspired by YOU!

If you want more inspiration using Pretty Cute Stamps, lumber on over to my blog, Sunnyside Up!

PCS August Release Blog Hop

Happy HUMP DAY everyone, and welcome to the Pretty Cute Stamps August 2014 Release Blog Hop. YAY! My wonderful Design Team and I have some super fun projects to show you today that we created using the very newest PCS stamps.

But first, I want to show you all of the new stamps you can purchase now in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store. Oh, and, most importantly...all of the stamps (even the bundle) are on sale until 11:59 EST on Tuesday, August 26. Woo HOO! Anyway...here they are. You can click on each of the photos to see these in the PCS Store:

Oh, and here's some more exciting news! SVG Outlines for the images on each of these new sets are now available in the store. So, if you're not one who likes fussy-cutting around images and has access to a digital cutting machine that can use SVG files, these could be a great resource for you. I'll be working on getting SVG Outlines in the store for previous sets as soon as I can.  The stamp images are not included with these files...you need the stamp sets for those.

Okay, now...here's my project using the little Color My World set. I decided to create a sweet little gift for my daughter's 5th grade teacher.

I decided to create a simple little gift by making a cover for a box of Skittles. The cover is simply kraft cardstock that I wrapped around the box (I scored it first in the appropriate places to make folding it easier). Before I secured it with adhesive, I used the crayon stamp and some VersaMark watermark ink to create a subtle background. I colored the crayon box and crayons with my Copic markers and adhered them to the cover using foam tape. Then, I stamped the fun sentiment from the same Color My World set on a speech bubble that I had left over from another project. I added a pretty ribbon and some doodles, and my quick teacher gift was all done.

Okay, now how about some BLOG CANDY????

Sneak Peek - Bushels of Fun!

Hi there, Karla here today! The August Stamp release is soooo close!! Have you been enjoying all the fun sneak peeks shared on the Pretty Cute Stamps blog?? Here's one more for you!

I used the new Bushels Of Fun stamp set - I can almost smell the apple pie! Yum! This set makes me think of cinnamon, scents of fall, warm homemade baking, crunchy apples - all the things I love about fall :) Another thing I love about this set is all the sentiments that are included! Wait till you see them - so many options.

I used some papers from 6x6 pads from Imaginisce and Simple Stories. The banner is cut with a Spellbinders die and I used some black and white bakers twine along with some buttons in each corner.

I cut the circle around the pie with my circle cutter from CM - I have had this for at least 15 years! One of my first scrapbooking purchases :) I used Prismacolor Markers to colour in the pie and apples, and I white heat embossed the banner with this adorable sentiment.

The super cute faces on the apples are interchangeable - how sweet is that! I added some white gel pen on the mouths and pink cheeks using a Prismacolor colouring pencil.

Remember, all the new August release stamp sets, including this one - Bushels of Fun- are going to be available August 20th at the Pretty Cute Stamps store and they will be on sale!!! through August 26, 2014. Be sure to check back tomorrow when all the stamp sets are released in a fun blog hop featuring amazing projects from each of the Design Team members using these fabulous new stamps!

August Release Sneak Peek!

Hello and Happy Saturday crafty friends!  It's Kendra and it is finally time for me to reveal a little Sneak Peek of one of the new August Stamp Releases for Pretty Cute Stamps!  The August releases are really fabulous and have so much versatility - you're gonna love 'em! :)

Without further adieu.....here's a design I created using "Adorkable"!

Can I say how much I love this little girl with the glasses?!  Cutie Patootie!!  I wear glasses (only at night lol) and my hubby says this image reminds him of me when I have mine on....what? lol   This color combo is one of my very favorites and I think works really well here!

I decided to break up the sentiment....which I think looks really great! I used my Sakura Stardust pen to outline the books, her dress and the apple just for a little extra sparkle.  I had a mini apple punch laying around I got from ebay way back in the day and I decided to use it....which adds a little pop of dimension.   All the supplies used in my design are listed below. :)

Join us for the August Release Blog Hop starting here on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog this Wednesday, August 20th for some wonderful crafty goodness!  Also, the newest releases will be on sale for the first week!

Be sure to visit me over at Inkin' It Up with Kendra! Have a crafty day and I'll see you soon!
